- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Special Education from a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)-recognized institution.
- Specific qualifications may vary by disability category (e.g., Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disability). Candidates must have training in the relevant special education area.
- Must qualify the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Primary Teachers conducted by WBBPE or equivalent.

- Teacher Eligibility Test (TET): Based on your existing TET score (minimum 60% for General; 55% for reserved categories). No new TET is conducted for this drive.
- Classroom Teaching Demonstration + Interview: Shortlisted candidates (based on TET merit) will demonstrate teaching skills, followed by an interview. Total marks: 100 (TET: 60; Demo/Interview: 40).
- Final merit list will be prepared category-wise and district-wise.
