- Class 10th pass with minimum 45% aggregate marks and 33% in each subject.

| Soldier (Clerk) |
- Class 12th pass with 60% aggregate, 50% in each subject, and 50% in English & Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping.

| Soldier (Tradesman) |
- Class 10th pass (Class 8th for roles like House Keeper/Mess Keeper) with relevant trade skills.

Selection Process
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT): 1.6 km run in 6 minutes 20 seconds (for GD), followed by beam, zigzag balance, and group tasks.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Height, chest, and weight verification.
- Medical Examination: Comprehensive health check-up.
- Written Examination: Objective-type test covering General Knowledge, General Science, Mathematics (for GD/Tradesman); additional English, Computer Science for Clerk.
- Merit List: Based on overall performance; final allotment to units.
