The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2025 on June 11, 2025. The preliminary exams were conducted on May 25, 2025. The results are available on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in, in PDF format, listing the roll numbers and names of qualified candidates. Over 10,000 candidates are expected to have been selected for the Civil Services Mains examination, scheduled to begin on August 22, 2025.
How to Check the UPSC Prelims Result 2025:
- Visit the official UPSC website: upsc.gov.in.
- Navigate to the "What’s New" section on the homepage.
- Click on the link titled “Written Result – Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025” or “Written Result – Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2025.”
- Download the PDF file containing the roll numbers of qualified candidates.
- Use Ctrl+F to search for your roll number in the PDF.
Additional Notes:
- The candidature of qualified candidates is provisional and subject to verification during the submission window.
- Marks, cut-off scores, and answer keys will be released only after the final results of both the Civil Services and Indian Forest Service exams are declared.
- Results for four candidates have been withheld pending court rulings, and further updates will be communicated to them.
- The expected cut-off for the 2025 Prelims, based on analysis, is approximately 90–93 for General, 86–89 for EWS, 88–91 for OBC, 80–83 for SC, and 76–79 for ST categories.
- The Civil Services Examination aims to fill 979 vacancies, and the Indian Forest Service Examination targets 150 vacancies.
